When you create a Snackee account we collect your email address, display name, and username. As you use Snackee we store the content you create — snacks you add, your ratings and logs, combos, stacks, store sightings, and (optionally) photos you upload. If you grant location permission, we use your device location to show nearby stores and let you pin where you found snacks; location is used in-session and store locations you choose to share are saved.
Your information powers the product: showing your profile and contributions to the community, recommending snacks, and finding stores near you. We do not sell your personal information.
Snackee runs on Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage). Product data for snacks may come from Open Food Facts and other catalog sources.
If you turn on push notifications, we store a push registration token for your device (issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging, which delivers the notifications), the device platform, and its timezone offset, solely to deliver the notifications you asked for and honor quiet hours. These are deleted when you turn push off, sign out on that device, or delete your account.
You can edit your profile, control location permission in your device settings, and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account — this permanently deletes your account; your snack contributions are retained anonymously as community content, and your ratings display as "Former Snacker".
